Based in South of France (06), you will be a fluent French speaker, with commercial experience in dealing with suppliers and be looking for your next challenge.
Our French operation was established in 2013 to meet the needs of crew aboard some of the world's most exclusive yachts. Primarily working with chefs and the interior staff, we provide ingredients and household products throughout the Cote d'Azur.

Description
Managing our French warehouse located in Grasse, the country manager will report directly to the CEO, providing operational stability throughout the supply chain and managing the day-to-day activities of the business.
You will work to define and improve standard operating procedures including:
- Order management
- Inbound and outbound logistics
- Product handling, storage & repacking
- Inventory management
- Supplier selection and management
- Vehicle fleet optimisation
You will be responsible for a small team of buyers and account managers who will need to be continually motivated to deliver their best.
You will also be expected to liaise with local suppliers and negotiate terms on behalf of the company.
Skills
This is a senior role in a small and rapidly growing, well financed business with international ambitions. You will need to be problem solver, happy to do whatever it takes to delight customers around the clock.
Specifically we need you to:
- Live relatively locally, or be willing to relocate
- Speak fluent french
- Lead a small team
- Be more than comfortable with ALL types of technology
- Know how to work with numbers and spreadsheets
- Have a logical approach to business problem solving
- Remain calm under pressure
Our business provides only the best products, quickly with an attention to detail and service that cannot be matched. You will also need to have more than a passing interest in (fine) food, (expensive) wine and (outstanding) customer service.
Our team is drawn from a wide pool of experience and we will consider candidates from most backgrounds. You do not need to have worked as a chef or managed a warehouse, just be ready for new challenges.
Education
It is likely that you will have been to school. Possibly even university, but we are more interested in what you can bring to our business. An open minded approach to excellence, with some IT skills will probably suffice.
